A downloadable game

You play as a secret service agent, your agency sends you out to the frigid North Canada, to investigate a private company that is off the grid. This company is shrouded in secrecy and recently rumored to been performing physiological experiments on live humans. When your plane crashes in the mountains, you must adapt.

After recent feedback,  I have decided to flesh out and improve the quality of Whiteout. This will all come in a Mega Update in the future.

Key Features of Mega Update:

  • Entire new region: Desolate Valley.
  • Voice Acting.
  • Massive Story overhaul.
  • New characters.
  • More free form exploration.
  • New gameplay mechanics.
  • Brand new  ending.
  • Tons of bug fixes and optimizations.
  • Much more.

  • Game has mature themes and topics.
  • Game is slow paced and thoughtful.

  • WASD = Walk
  • CTRL = Crouch
  • SHIFT = Sprint
  • E = Interact
  • ESC = Quit

  • Players attempting to break the game on purpose will probably end up breaking something, if you want a good experience, don't try and break it.
  • Players that attempt to jump off the mountains, will get stuck.
  • Players can get stuck on rocks sometimes.
  • Players can get stuck on Conner's Watchtower sometimes.

Game is best played alone.

Check the Devlog often to see whats new and upcoming!

Nice game. We enjoyed it very much.

This game is amazing, as is any game by this dev. I always look forward to your games, this was a very touching story, and although I feel like I missed a few things in my play-through I still really enjoyed it. The only thing I can really say that I feel would help this game is a jump mechanic, but that is just my opinion. Also I'm pretty sure I went somewhere you aren't supposed to be able to go to... but when I did I came up with my own connection with this game and Sleepwalker, I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but it really made me enjoy it even more. As always Kai you are a very talented person when it comes to making games, and I can't wait to see what you have coming next!

Hey man,

Thank you so much for checking out Whiteouts beta. I am so glad you enjoyed it!
The game is short and buggy because it was just a test, to see if people would play a game that is not a horror game. I have been getting a lot of attention on this game and will be continuing it. That means an entire new map and story. I am even hoping to get some voice acting as well.

Also, you are spot on... the two games connect and it will be more obvious when Whiteout fully releases. ;)

I'm glad to hear this game is getting so much attention as it deserves it. I can't wait to see where you take it from here, and I will definitely be playing it again after the update.

Glad to hear that there is a connection between the games, it's nice to see how games that are so different connect so well.

Again you have a lot of talent and I wish you the best of luck on your future projects!

It was good but I felt lost. Hopefully the update will can help.

Thanks for checking it out!

I'm looking forward to it.

Hey there!

Great video, very sorry about the performance issues and I am currently working on optimizing the game.
In your gameplay you seemed to have missed quite a few key elements of story, so maybe in the future when the game is expanded upon you could take a second look

This game was honestly amazing, in so many ways. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, the sad effect of loneliness, the beautiful music, all of this was astounding. I loved the game play from start to finish, and was upset by the sudden stop. Hope to see more! I made a video, and left a small message to the creator toward the end, but I'll say it here as well. good job. This game hit hard because I had a rough patch around a year ago with a close friend of mine, and this game highlights it in a sincere way.

Hey man, your editing style is super cool and it was awesome for you to check out Whiteout, I will continue development and I am sorry about the abrupt ending.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

The story, Atmosphere, Everything about this game is incredible. Please continue this.

Hey Bratch, loved your gameplay and reaction and I am glad you enjoyed it. Currently working on expanding on the idea so stay tuned!

I realy liked what was here. However I was left wanting for more. Thats not a bad thing mind you. I hope to one day play a full version of this game should one be made. Great work so far.

Hey man, loved the video and the feedback you provided. It seems like people enjoy Whiteout so I will be expanding and continuing the game. Again, thank you. :)

Thats fantastic news! I really enjoyed what was there so I look forward to seeing this as finished game. I genuinly am interested in Whiteout. Good luck to you I wish you the best in furthering Whiteout.

thanks for making this, here's my gameplay (skip to 5:51)

Like I said, rushing through the game is not the best way to go. Thanks for checking it out!

Hello. I just downloaded your game. And It's look awesome! But I have a little problem. I'm playing this like 10-15 Fps. What can I do about it ?

May I ask what your PC specs are...?

AMD A6-6400K 2 core 3.9 ghz
8.0 GB ram
AMD Radeon HD 8470D 4GB
Samsung 500GB 860 EVO

Yeah this might be my bad, but  I am not sure your PC is good enough to run Whiteout. I do not have the best ways to optimize my games as of now, so i'm sorry.

Oh I got it. Thanks anyway. Awesome Game !

Please tell me there will be more to the story. I loved it.

If it gets a little more traction, I will most likely continue on. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing!

really cool game, Enjoyed it!

here's the gameplay ;)

Thanks for taking a look! You sprinted through it in 5 mins, well done I guess?

I think this is a good idea, i kinda liked the feeling of the game and how you are isolated in the middle of nowhere with little chance of survival, i just wish there was a bit of horror haha still loved this though thanks again:

I know I responded on YT already but I will also post here. Thanks for playing and letting me see what things to fix. I have added to the list of bugs and will fix asap. :)

Looking foward to this one!

Game is released! It is not a horror game, so I am not sure it is your cup of tea, but it would be great if you gave it a try. :)

uploading the video now, i actually enjoyed it thanks :)
